Tje Austin is a singer and songwriter whose appearance on the TV show The Voice this past spring won him plenty of attention from the pop world.
Austin’s from Austin (Texas, that) and his first name’s pronounced “Tye.” That’s about all the bio we need knowing he’s been a featured artist on “Texas On Tour,” sang the National Anthem for the baseball back in 2010 and, to date, has seen his MySpace page rack up 3,000,000 visits.
The last three years have yielded a pair of long players (2008’s Love Me Knots and 2010’s Xperience) and a pair of singles, “City of Me” and “Hello Stranger,” both released this year.
And about that appearance on The Voice? Rolling Stone talked about his “smooth control,” likening him to judge Cee Lo Green.
It may come as a surprise to you but this cut, which definitely shows austin’s smooth control, actually dates back several years to a demo we found in our archives. Dig in and then click a link or two and get in touch with Tje.
