What do you get when you combine about a billion cool bands with warm weather and a long weekend? For us, it equals a wish for a plane ticket to Orlando and a couch that we can crash on.

You know it’s a great festival when one of the best southern rock bands of the last ten years is listed Number 15 on the opening day lineup. That’s where Drive-By Truckers are in the batting order at Orlando Calling, a two day fest this coming weekend that’s like dying and going to rock and roll heaven.

The Killers, the Avett Brothers, the Roots, Iron and Wine, Dwight Yoakam and new favorite Deep Dark Woods are all on the roster, too (and that’s just the first day).

To get you ready (if you’re attending) and even more jealous (if you’re not), here’s a copy of  a Drive By Truckers cut from Go-Go Boots called “Used To Be A Cop,” a tune that will almost certainly get played in the DTB set.

When it first came out, Stereogum compared it to “Glory Days.” Sorry: Springsteen wrote a nursery rhyme compared to the sinister, creepy crawl of this tune.

Sorry, you missed out! This song is no longer available.
