Down the road from Neil Young, around the corner from Drive By Truckers, living in the same neighborhood as Steve Earle, there’s an apartment at the end of the hallway that smells of heartache and feels like a rose being crushed beneath steel-toed work shoe. That’s where Arliss Nancy lives.
“We try not to concern ourselves with this s***,” the band says about the business of bios and profiles. “We all write, we all pour our hearts into what we do. It is, and has always been, about the music and the people who came to dance.”
For the record, though, the members of Arliss Nancy are guitarist and singer Cory Call, keyboardist Chris Love, drummer Diesel J., bassist G.B. “Sandbaggin’” Oppold and guitarist Jason Larson. They hail from the great state of Colorado and it’s clear they’ve been doing this long enough to know better but too long to stop.
Download their tune and put your fist in the air for the workingman’s country rock band, still alive and smoking at 5000 feet in the air.
