From the northern reaches of Havermill, Mass to the southern tip of Greensboro, NC, the east coast has the goods tonight. Get dragged into menacing grooves, feel something beautiful, sticks to your guns or simply click a few arrows and grab yourself some Free MP3s.
Starting in the Great White North (more or less), it’s a cheap night of rock and roll at Havermill, Mass’ Anchors Up. Ten bucks and the right attitude will get you five bands including Weekend Nachos, Bastardswine, Sex Scene, Homewrecker and self-described “satanic, heavy-hardcore band,” Abomination. Be sure to bring the kids along for their set: it’ll be “oozing with menacing grooves” and “like a rabid onslaught of wild dogs (will) you to the ground and tears at your flesh.”
In the mood for something a little more gentile? Buzz boy of the month Anthony Green headlines the Beautiful Things Tour’s stop in Boston for an all ages show at the Paradise Club on Commonwealth. Supporting Green will be local boy Casey Crescenzo’s post-Receiving End of Sirens project, The Deer Hunter. (Info)
Considerably further south — in Greensboro, NC, to be exact — Epitaph artists Our Last Night will take the stage for a five band bit of mayhem at the city’s Greene Street Club. Situated on the street that bears its name — making it easier to find when you’re drunk — the New Hampshire post-hardcore fivesome will join Memphis May Fire, Stick To Your Guns and Make Me Famous in support of I See Stars.
