Famous rock duo The Black Keys decided to send out their new singleFever” today, taken from their upcoming eighth studio album Turn Blue. Their last LP, El Camino, spawned hits like “Lonely Boy” and “Gold On The Ceiling”, and then the pair remained tight-lipped about their follow-up to the hit record. Their official website confirmed that Turn Blue is due May 13th along with the “Fever” audio clip.

Overall, the song is a fuzzy, upbeat rock song that could totally pass as a Foster The People or even Imagine Dragons track. “Fever, cuz I’m breaking / Fever got me aching / Fever, why don’t you explain / Break it down again“, sings band leader Dan Auerbach, comparing his feelings for a potential lover as a sickness.

No word about a tour from The Black Keys to support their forthcoming LP: only time will tell!
