For Part 2 of our Thanksgiving Spotlight we’re hooking you up with even more music for the holiday. Here at we believe that every occasion deserves a soundtrack, so with that in mind, here is fodder for your Thanksgiving soundtrack.

Post-punk bands like Motorama always reminds me of the days when it starts gets dark early, it seems to match the mood of impending winter.

A Portland based folk band, Horse Feathers makes pretty, spare music. Singer Justin Ringle’s soft vocals are embellished with subtle guitar and string arrangements, making for a pleasant, down-to-earth sound that resembles Sufjan Steven’s lighter side.

Swedish pop master Jens Lekman rarely disappoints with his gorgeous melodies and witty, incisive lyrics. His new single “An Argument With Myself” is no exception, detailing a funny inner monologue (or dialogue i suppose).

Indie popsters Big Troubles are dedicated students of history, their songs showing a mastery of a variety of sounds from the 80’s and 90’s – from shoegaze to Smiths’s style jangle pop.

Gem Club delivers sweet sounding dream pop. A boy/ girl duo, the group is composed of singer/pianist Christopher Barnes and classically trained cellist/bells/singer Kristen Drymala. Their song “Twins” is a perfect vacation song, managing to be both engaging and relaxing.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We hope that these songs will help you provide a nice soundtrack to your holiday.
