Neon Trees are unique in that they make songs that sound upbeat and happy but upon closer inspection have lyrics that tell stories of personal hardship and pain. That's because lead singer Tyler Glenn often channels his own personal struggles into his songwriting, which is especially true of "Teenager In Love," a song off the band's latest album Pop Psychology. In the clip, Tyler talks about what inspired the song and it turns out it involved him falling in love with someone who didn't love him back — a feeling nearly all of us can surely relate to.
