Part of the fun of holiday music is its sense of tradition, but it can be fun hearing new interpretations as well. This year, Austin indie rock quintet [mp3com-artist]Quiet Company[/mp3com-artist] serves up an excellent version of the classic “Angels We Have Heard on High.”

In their hands, the carol becomes an upbeat rocker. The quick tempo makes it a perfect song for some of the more fast paced moments of the holiday season – say some last minute shopping. Traditional style carols are pretty, but sometimes you need something that moves.

“Angels We Have Heard On High” is part of [mp3com-artist]Quiet Company[/mp3com-artist]’s A Merry little Christmas EP. So if you enjoyed that track be sure to head over to their Bandcamp page to hear the full thing!
