On Thursday, October 10th, the hit television show Glee will be saying goodbye to Cory Monteith and his character Finn Hudson in an emotional tribute episode. The trailer was released today, featuring the cast laying flowers, cars, and football memorabilia next to Hudson’s locker, and showed a tearful Lea Michele, Monteith’s on-and-offscreen girlfriend, showing her true reaction to the passing of the TV star.

What makes the clip the most heartbreaking is Michele’s version of Adele’s Bob Dylan cover “Make You Feel My Love”, playing somberly in the background as the characters pay their respects to the fallen Finn. It’s a fitting song for Michele to sing, seeing as the pair were truly devoted to one another at the time of Cory’s passing, so her delivery of the song’s romantic lyrics is genuine.

“The hardest word to say . . . is goodbye”, the screen flashes with Finn’s face shown at the end of the clip. It’s a sad time for fans of both Glee and the respecters of  Monteith, who was indeed taken much too soon to a drug overdose on July 13th.
