With the release of his latest album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem has a smash single on his hands: "The Monster", featuring Rihanna, who Em's previously worked with on his previous hit song "Love The Way You Lie". With "The Monster" being the latest song to hit no.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and now publications are claiming that it's a sequel the pair's previous 2010 anthem about an abusive relationship. "I'm friends with the monster / That's under my bed / Get along with the voices inside of my head / You're trying to save me / Stop holding your breath / And you think I'm crazy", sings Rihanna in "The Monster"'s chorus, suggesting that she's potentially out of the abusive relationship she was stuck in, but has been damaged psychologically from it. "Call me crazy, but I had this vision / One day that, I'd walk amongst you a regular civilian", raps Slim Shady, once again proving he'd been driven mad by his dysfunctional relationship. The highly-anticipated music video for the number 1 track in the country is due out on VEVO later this evening. The premise looks a lot like "Love The Way You Lie", part two, and fans are excited to watch.
