Cher got into character — and then some — for her role in the upcoming Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. On Tuesday, the Oscar- and Grammy-winning icon told Today that she’s recorded an album of ABBA covers.

“After I did ‘Fernando’ [in the movie], I thought it would really be fun to do an album of ABBA songs, so I did,” she said, per Rolling Stone.

No release date has been announced.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, formally due in theaters Friday (but hitting many screens on Thursday night), is the ABBA-paced sequel to the ABBA-paced 2008 box-office hit, Mamma Mia! Cher joins the cast in the new movie as the grand-mamma of Amanda Seyfried’s once-paternity-puzzled character.

Cher’s sequel-inspired forthcoming album will be but the latest stop in a historic pop career: According to Billboard, the singer of “I Got You Babe,” “If I Could Turn Back Time,” “Believe” and so much more is the only artist to notch a No. 1 hit on one of its charts for six straight decades. (So far.)

Here’s a decade-by-decade look at Cher’s chart-topping ways, ranked:
