February 2nd, 2014, marked the 48th annual Super Bowl, with the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos competing for football's greatest title. But everybody knows that you tune in to the Super Bowl to watch the Halftime Show? Right? With big acts like Madonna and Beyonce filling up the Halftime slots over the past few years, the 2014 performers ended up being Bruno Mars joined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and it was a rockin' performance to say the least. Mars appeared on stage playing the drums to his hit track about being denied love by the woman he adores, "Locked Out Of Heaven", before launching into hits like "Treasure" and "Runaway". Red Hot Chili Peppers, who have mysterious plans for 2014 (a new album or tour, maybe?), joined Mars on stage for a rendition of one of their classics "Give It Away", complete with both Bruno's band and the RHCPs jumping in time. Mars then closed the show with a touching rendition of "Just The Way You Are", complete with messages from US soldiers abroad sending video messages to their loved ones. It was a truly memorable Halftime gig!
