Sunday, January 26th marks the 56th annual GRAMMY awards, airing on CBS, and the most coveted prize that gets handed out each year is the Album Of The Year award. The nominees in the 2014 category are all very likely to walk away with the trophy for AOTY, especially because they all cover a unique genre of music respectively. But who is going to win?

First on the list of AOTY nominees is Sara Bareilles’ for her record The Blessed Unrest. Spawning the hit “Brave”, which is a pro-gay anthem about coming out and not being afraid of being yourself, the singer/songwriter has had a massive year in pop, but when it comes to the next nominee, they might have a little more clout than Bareilles. Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories was one of 2013’s biggest releases, especially with the cheeky ode to partying all night, “Get Lucky”. Kendrick Lamar’s good kid maad city has a fair chance of taking home the prize as well, as one of the past year’s biggest breakout stars in hip-hop with singles like “B**** Don’t Kill My Vibe”.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis also had a very successful run with their hip-hop/pop/electro mish-mash of an album, The Heist, which made thrift shopping cool again. But it’s Taylor Swift’s Red that is most likely going to take home the award, based on sales, chart success, and not to mention the handful of huge singles like “I Knew You Were Trouble” that she released last year.

Tune into the 2014 GRAMMY Awards this Sunday, January 26th at 8pm EST / PST on CBS.
