The music industry will be turning its eyes and ears towards Austin, Texas as the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival kicks off next week. Over 2,000 acts will be performing across 92 stages at this year’s festival. Earlier this month we offered 140 FREE Music Downloads from SXSW artists, but below you can get even more music to take home:

” Rolling Stone Young British indie-rockers Yuck will be among the hundreds of acts to grace the stages at this year’s South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas (March 16-20, 2011). Though the average age of the group about 20 years old, it’s clear that they’ve been heavily influenced by the shoe-gazers of the early ’90s, who were big when the members of Yuck were probably just learning about the man on the sticker that they would one day identify with. The influence of Pavement, Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine is clear in the group’s sound, but Yuck brings their own energy and song-writing skills to the table. The result is a collection of fuzzy, catchy gems that would satisfy the biggest shoe-gaze craving.
That’s right 140+ free downloads from artists playing the South by Southwest Music & Film Festival March 11-20 in the city of weird, Austin, Texas. You know some of these artists (Fitz and The Tantrums, Brett Dennen, Cold War Kids) but there are many you don’t — and that’s kind of the point of SXSW, this year celebrating its 25th anniversary.
