Not to mention the album is at number one on both the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts…
Meghan Trainor may not be a household name, but expect to be talking about the budding singer/songwriter more often as her star power rises thanks to the success of “All About That Bass.” The song — which promotes being proud of your body, no matter what size — has been climbing the Billboard Hot 100 chart for weeks now, and finally, it’s hit the no.1 spot. And that’s not all: the Hot 100’s top 5 is all ladies, which is definitely an awesome case of girl power!
He’s one of the busiest men in country music: with his hosting duties on The Voice as well as the ACM Awards, on top of being married to fellow singer Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton‘s always on the go. However, he found the time to record the follow-up album to 2011’s Based On A True Story… with his new LP Bringing Back The Sunshine, which was just released on September 30th.
With the release of their appropriately-titled fifth album V last week, Maroon 5 are currently flying high atop the Billboard charts with the success of the record. Enrique Iglesias is slowly but surely climbing his way up the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his single “Bailando”, which translates to “dancing” from Spanish to English. Currently sitting at no.12, he’s been rising on the chart for 15 weeks now, and it’s the first time a Spanish single has had major staying power since Los Del Rio’s massively popular “Macarena” dropped in 1996.

Currently sitting at no.4 on the Billboard Hot 100, the duo sat down with MTV News to discuss the meaning behind their monstrous hit.
Congratulations, Sia! The singer/songwriter, who just dropped her highly-anticipated new album 1000 Forms Of Fear, is in the top 10 section of the BIllboard Hot 100 chart for the first time as a solo artist. Her smash single “Chandelier” is responsible for the Australian pop star’s place on the chart, which is about a girl who appears to have it all on the outside, but is hurting on the inside.
John Legend‘s heartfelt ballad “All of Me” has been burning up the charts, so much so that it has become the singer’s most popular hit to date, landing him the coveted #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart a few weeks back. That’s quite an achievement for any song, but especially one that strays from those that we usually see at the top of the chart. “All of Me” is a love ballad with minimal instrumentation, much different than those that came before and after, like “Happy” & “Fancy” for instance. The story behind the song is that John wrote the “All of Me” lyrics for his then-fiancée Chrissy Teigen in a writing session with songwriter Toby Gad. The two musicians threw ideas around and came up with the song in under three hours, according to a Toby Gad interview. It’s been widely reported that the first time John sang it for Chrissy, she broke down into tears. John would later perform the song at his own wedding to Chrissy, and then later at another set of nuptials, those of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian!
Coldplay fans unite! The UK-based rock band has taken the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart this week, once again, with their latest LP Ghost Stories.
