The title track for Rosie Flores’ upcoming album Working Girl’s Guitar came about as naturally as possible. Flores sold one of her well used guitars to another musician in Austin. The next day, that musician hit her up with the song. He claimed he didn’t write it—the guitar did.

Charlie Peacock is a guy you’ve heard a lot, even if you don’t know it. He’s the producer behind the Civil Wars breakout hit album Barton Hollow. He’s played and worked with everyone from the Fixx to Al Green, and Red Hot Chili Peppers too. He even co-wrote Amy Grant’s mega hit “Every Heartbeat.” Suffice it to say, that’s a pretty broad range of experience.

LA rock n’ roll troubadour Patrick Duniven and his band (who collectively are known as Duniven) plays the kind of rich, Americana style music that is reminiscent of many great American rock heroes. Listening to a track like “Passage to Nowhere,” it’s easy to hear traces of Dylan, Petty and Springsteen. Duniven skillfully avoids repetitive terriotory though, instead continuing the tradition with his own take on the genre.
