Based on Germany's Rastermusic/Noton label, Signal is a side project for the label's three heads: Olaf Bender (Byetone), Frank Brettschneider (Komet), and Carsten Nicolai (Noto). The CD EP Waves and Lines was issued in 1999, containing the results of recording sessions over the previous two years. Centrum followed a year later. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
