Gisle Martens Meyer (a.ka. Ugress) is a Norwegian electronica artist who creates mini-movies with every cut he records.
Often compared to Crystal Method and Royksopp, Ugress’ music is frequently found in TV shows, commercials and movies.
It’s no wonder. Tunes like today’s Free MP3 of the Day, “Explorer’s Demise” (from the album Schizophonica), remind us of what would happen if the Chemical Brothers were to have Sunday afternoon tea with Henry Mancini (then score a movie that features Steve Carell as a modern day Charlie Chaplin).
Is there much more to say than that? We think not.
