In Trace Adkins‘ new single “Just Fishin’,” a father and daughter head to the river with their rods and reels for a little relaxation. But as Adkins tells it, an afternoon jaunt like this isn’t just about the fish–it’s one of those memories that they both will hold onto for years to come.
Adkins has a burly voice that seems tailor made for honky-tonks. But the Louisiana-born, multi-platinum-selling artist has also proved adept at wrapping his pipes around sentimental songs–from hits like “You’re Gonna Miss This” (which won him an ACM award for Single of the Year) and “Then They Do,” on up to “Just Fishin’.”
“Just Fishin’” is an early single off Trace’s soon-to-come album Proud To Be Here. We’ve got a live version available for download today.
