Inverse, “HipHopSoul (f. Noah King)”

Free MP3 of the Day

Crossing bridges between cultures to find common ground, Toby and Tunji partner to roll their rhymes under the name Inverse. The flow is right as we hear on Free MP3 of the Day, “HipHopSoul (f. Noah King).

Culturally, they couldn’t be different. Toby is a Los Angeles-raised white kid from a Jewish household; Tunji is a black kid from the Bay Area, raised Muslim by Nigerian parents.

Musically, they’ve been reading from the same page since 2001 when they started producing their upbeat, emotional, true-to-life brand of hip-hop.

Since that time, they’ve worked with Swedish producers Soul Supreme (KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, Pete Rock) and had their cut “The Reason” featured on K-Laz’s album, The Soulsnatcher.

They’ve also worked with the QN5 collective, which also includes another MP3.com featured artist, PackFM. This one is from their very first album, So Far, a collection of cuts that includes work with rapper Noah King.
