Born in Turkey and raised in Belgium, 22-year old Funda has always been the light of her family’s life, a girl of infinite energy and passion, the one who’s always been willing to get on stage and perform for an audience. It’s only natural that her precocious talent as a child would translate into a promising career for her as an adult.
Under the guidance of her longtime mentor and producer, DJ Sahim, Funda launched her career recently with her first single, “Birini Baraktim,” a smash in her Turkish homeland.
Now she’s set her sights on the world with her newest single on BIP Records, “Stand Up,” which has already jumped into the Top 50 in Belgium. It takes just one listen to the song, a pounding Euro-disco hip-shaker — and one look at her video — to know this young firebrand is ready to play with the big boys.
