The Baseball Project formed during discussions between Scott McCaughey and Steve Wynn at R.E.M.‘s 2007 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The supergroup is composed of Peter Buck, Scott McCaughey, Wynn and Linda Pitmon and are out with a second album titled, Volume 2: High and Inside.
