It’s been a few months since we’ve checked in with Broken Records, the Edinburgh, Scotland band we featured back in the fall with their song “Desperado.” Let’s pay them another visit.
As with many artists these days, Ian Turnbull and brothers Jamie and Rory Sutherland intertwine both country and pop into their songs. “Desperado,” though not the same as the Eagles song, was more country. Today’s Free MP3 of the Day, “Anne,” leans more toward the pop side of the street.
So who does “Anne” remind us of? We’re feeling the love from the poppier sides of Jimmy Buffett and John Denver along with those nearly as famous as their brothers 70s classics Dave Loggins and Livingston Taylor.
