Along with manning the mixing desk for some top rock acts like Linkin Park, producer and DJ Amplive‘s also dropped music on TV shows, video games and movies (not to mention an unauthorized remix of a Radiohead album).
As producer and DJ for hip hop group Zion I, Cali’s Amplive forged a reputation that won him A-list production spots with artists like Akon, Flipside, MGMT and Linkin Park. With a grasp of genres that spans from rock to drum n’ bass, Amplive’s also a hot property in the multimedia world, dropping music on TV (Friday Night Lights and Sportcenter), commercials (Nestle’s Wonka series) and into video games.
He caused a bunch of lawyers at Warner Music to gather together in the same room a while back when he released an unauthorized album called Rainydayz Remixes, a remix of Radiohead’s In Rainbows. Through a grassroots campaign across the internet, Amp won the freedom to pass along his revisionist Radiohead as a free download.
If you haven’t heard it, grab a sample here of “Faustz” and then hit up his site for some more of his music (including more free songs and a preview of his new record with Eligh, Therapy At 3).
