Rising singer/songwriter Amos Lee is not yet a household name in the US, but he is amassing some serious credentials–tours with Bob Dylan, Norah Jones and Dave Matthews band, use of his songs by TV shows like House and Grey’s Anatomy, and an impressive catalog of music to boot.
“Flower” is one of the highlights from Amos Lee’s new album Mission Bell. A laid-back acoustic guitar ballad, “Flower” is a great track for a lazy summer day in the same vein of some like James Taylor or Jack Johnson. “My heart is a flower/That blooms every hour,” sings Lee.
He clearly has a gift for storytelling–the ability to make a sentiment like that seem sincere. And with “Flower” he crafts a genuine, uplifting love song.
