The label represents a mixture of creative artists who are pushing music in new and exciting directions. This week we’re profiling a few of their most promising up and coming acts: White Denim, Electric Guest and Vacationer.

Arbutus is an artistic community based in Montreal. Beginning as a DIY loft space inhabiting community, Arbutus Records developed to cultivate and promote the bands associated with the scene. Perhaps still best known for its releases, Arbutus is by no means a traditional record label, with endeavours into film and literature well and truly underway.
