ZeroGravity has got its roots in the Belgian melodic metal/rock band Shadowdance. Founding members Pieter Belmans, Marc Beckers, and Dirk Vollon decided to form a new outfit to play some more progressive stuff influenced by bands like Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation, Fates Warning and many others. So in October 2001 ZeroGravity was born. Trying to find the right people that shared the same musical ideas and ambitions to complete the line-up was quite a problem at start. Several people applied for the keyboard and vocal duties but weren't found suitable.
