There are two bands with this name. 1)The Reactionaries were a band formed by D. Boon, Mike Watt and George Hurley with vocalist Martin Tamburovich at the end of 1978 in San Pedro. D. Boon and Mike Watt had been playing for several years already, but this is the first band they started writing songs for. At a Clash show they came in touch with people from the band Black Flag, and the Reactionaries played their first gig opening for Black Flag in early 1979 in San Pedro. D.
