White Lion was a hard rock band of the 80s and early 90s. Their manager, Mike Parente, also owned L'amour, a club in Brooklyn. Known for top 40 rock hits such as 1988's "When the Children Cry" and 1989's "Little Fighter", the band was formed in New York City in 1983 by Danish-born vocalist Mike Tramp (born Michael Trempenau) and guitarist Vito Bratta, who wrote most of the band's songs. The band's other members were James Lomenzo (bass) and Greg D'Angelo (drums).

Dry your crying eyes
How can I explain
The fear you feel inside?
'Cause you were born

I never had a chance to love you
Now I only wanna say I love you one more time
Wait just a moment before our love will die
'Cause I must know the reason why we say goodbye

Trying to fight the pain from a broken heart

It really doesn't matter anymore
I thought that love could last forever

There's a voice in my head that drives my heel

When she gets lonely
- LyricsAre you cryin' tonight?
Are you feelin' all right?
I told the world that you were down on your luck
You were one of a kind
One who'd never give it up
