Originally based in Dallas, Texas, Vas Deferens Organization initially emerged as a briefly assembled large-scale collective (responsible for the first two cassette-only releases), however the stable and permanent formation of Vas Deferens Organization would emerge in 1995 as the duo of former New Orleans resident Matt Castille and former L.A. resident Eric Lumbleau.
