Mostly known as a solo artist for his work with "ambient tuba" using delay loops for live improvised layers of spacey ambient music. He also uses voice and didjeridu and has 3 solo CDs. His music has been used in some soundtracks. Tom also has played with Don Cherry, Cahrlie Haden, Eugene Chadbourne and many other people. Tom Heasley is in possession of – or possessed by – a very distinctive musical persona.
