The Red Oak Conspiracy is the precurser to Karma To Burn. Formed in 1993 in Morgantown West Virginia by Members Will Mechum-Guitar, Orville Weale-Bass, Nathan Limbaugh-Drums, and Ira Wile-Vocals, the original name was Thee Red Oak Social Club. In 1994 Ira left and Curtis Duhn became the vocalist, so the band changed their name to The Red Oak Conspiracy. The band opened for a few large-drawing acts and was soon drawing enough in Morgantown to fill local venues. They did one country-wide tour in 1995 but played mostly local or in Pittsburg PA. There is an eleven-song recording. Will left to join up with Rich Mullens and Nathan Limbaugh to form Karma To Burn in 1995.
