Biography

The alternative rock four-piece The Fuzz have been honing their experimental guitar rock since 1995 when high school friends Brandon Raudebaugh and Daniel Veale came together for a love for the grunge rock sounds of the The Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jam. The two, who are natives of Corunna, MI, quickly realized that they had to be a part of the music as well. Raudebaugh purchased his first bass at a local pawn shop and Veale began writing songs. By summer 1998, The Fuzz had an official lineup with fellow Corunna grads Nathan Brown on keyboards and Brandon Mead on drums. That same summer, the group recorded and self-released their debut Don't Forget To Remember. Mixing influential sounds of Hum, Radiohead, The Verve, and Sunny Day Real Estate, The Fuzz also built a name for themselves among the East Lansing crowds at Michigan State University. In 2001, the band quietly released the "Raisins & Rubberbands" EP and continued gigging throughout the next two years, playing nearly 70 shows. During that time, The Fuzz constructed material for a second album. The end result was Noise Destroyers (2003), their most fluid album to date. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, Rovi
