The most famous group with this name is a Doo-Wop group, established in 1953. They are best known for "I Only Have Eyes For You," in 1959. (originally a hit in 1934 for Ben Selvin and written by Harry Warren and Al Dubin). They recorded several uptempo songs through the 1960s, peaking at #26 in the UK Singles Chart with "The Boogaloo Party", released in 1966 by Phillips. A masterpiece with latin rhythm.
