Tell it to the Marines existed over the course of 4 years. They recorded one song back in 2006, which embarrassingly still sits on the internet database. They recorded it because they had nothing better to do in their towns and because their original guitarist had some money. The producer spent all his time eating pizza and drinking smoothies and said that English music wasn't very popular. In 2008 they saved up even more money to record two more tracks. They had a producer who was slightly nicer and charged less. They weren't really friends & so eventually split up.
