Syntax Of Devotion began as just "Syntax" in 1997. The project started out as mainly an industrial/experimental band. A few years later a more new wave element began to emerge and the group adopted the full name to fit with the more melodic sound. Two full albums were recorded by 2002 when syntax dissolved and reformed as Electrophile in 2003. The albums were released to the public years later in 2010 when lead singer Sandor Gavin re-mastered the entire collection.
