There are two known artists going by the name Starhawk: 1) Starhawk (born Miriam Simos) (June 17, 1951) is an American writer, anarchist activist,[1] and self-described witch. She is well known as a theorist of Paganism, a columnist on Beliefnet.com, and is one of the foremost popular voices of ecofeminism.

Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Starhawk lives in San Francisco, where she works with Reclaiming, a tradition of Witchcraft that she co-founded in the late 1970s.
