Following the 1991 demise of Catherine Wheel (which had evolved from their previous group, The Honeys), singer Andrea Croft and guitarist Bruce Begley assembled Snow Leopards, another vehicle for Begley's songwriting.

They released an EP and a full length album on Waterfront in 1991 and 1992 respectively. Bruce Begley ended up in Flicker, and Croft participated in Splinter with the Falling Joys' Suzie Higgie.

Croft and Begley returned in the reunited The Honeys in 2007.
