Time Out awarded the EP Single Of The Week and Melody Maker tipped them as the Stars For '94, describing them as a "swaggering combination of electro-noise and guitar debauchery" whilst the NME declared them to be "sleazy noiseniks".
The summer of 1994 saw the release of a limited edition 7" single "One and a Half/Two and a Half" containing 2 radically different versions of the same song - a noise fest on the a-side and a ragga track on the b-side. In March 1995, the band emerged to release the "Can I?" single. This was closely followed by the release of their debut album "Chicken World" in April.
