The Pleasure Seekers were an all-girl garage band from Detroit, who released two 7" singles in the 1960s. They are noted for being the first band Suzi Quatro performed in.
Michael Gira initially intended for his post-Swans project to be called The Pleasure Seekers, but upon learning of the original group changed the name to The Angels of Light.
Pleasure Seekers were also a 1970's funk band who formed in Ohio and later moved to L.A. whose best circulated single was "Give Up The Funk". The main notable regarding this band would be its leader, Par Tolliver, who later relocated back to Springfield, Ohio and mentored a young John Legend before his sky-rocket to fame.
