Converging together at some point in mid-2010, Phat Bollard rapidly became a household name, albeit in the small Cornish village of Calstock. From there, it was just a hop, skip and a jig across the border to the nearby monochrome city of Plymouth, where the band regularly gig and busk for your loose change. In late October 2010 the band recorded a handful of their own tracks in Plymouth's Presspack Studios, and so It's Not Knitting, the band's first collection of songs, was born.
