Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Pestroy have been kindly providing mayhem, chaos and entropy on the local scene for 11 years now with their unique messy mashed-up mix of metal, drum 'n bass, rap, rock and progressive hardcore, all thrown together with enough melody to evoke Tool. Its fast-slow metal like Korn, with an energetic live delivery that has frequently stirred up maelstrom-like pits that border on riots.

Pestroy's collective influences, which are enhanced by their diverse and often unsynchronized individual musical interests, include (Hed) pe; Korn; Mudvayne; System of a Down; The Dillinger Escape Plan; Slipknot; KRS-ONE; Deftones, Dieselboy, Nine Inch Nails, One Minute Silence, Aphex Twin and Tool.

They also take visual inspiration from Manga and David Fincher movies.

Pestroy are currently in studio working on their 5th album.
