Paulo Barros is a Portuguese guitarist, from Vila Nova de Gaia, best known for having founded the heavy metal band Tarantula in the 1981.

He played the opening act for Joe Satriani when he visited Portugal to promote the "Musterion of Rock" album, in April 30 and May 1, in Lisboa and Porto.
