Born and raised in the birthplace of House Music, Paul Johnson has released over 130 E.P's himself and a vast amount of music for some of the most consistently underground dance labels before hooking up with Peacefrog. 12" releases on the likes of Cajual / Relief and Dance Mania led to his debut album release 'Bump Talkin' in 1994. This and the follow up 'Feel The Music' became two of the most talked about releases of their time until 1998 when he released his biggest hit to this day, Get Get Down which sold over 3 million copies world wide, And is in the guiness book of world records and was lisenced on more than 100 CD and house compilations world wide. Even today this song has an effect on dance floors when played. And to go along with all of that, He's 1 of the best D.J's to come out of Chicago and still pack dance floors all over the planet. This man has become Legendary in our time and he doesn't seem to ready to stop anytime soon. His remix work for Destiny's Child,Jon B,Ce Ce Peniston,Daft Punk,R&B Singer Myron, Mr K-Alexi,Stacy Kidd, Joey Beltram, Green Velvet, Armando, Ron Trent and Steve Poindexter just to name a few have made its way into all the big jocks boxes, many of which remain there to this day. Over the last 6 years, Paul has been releasing singles which all have made it to billboard's top 50 and higher. His latest releases She got me on and I wanna play with you are blowing up world wide and keeping paul in the game for sure. He's a hit making machine say's Yello's Bob Sinclair and He's shown so many artists the way. Much respect to everything that Paul Johnson has done and is going to do for house music....

He has done work on a number of labels including Dancemania, Relief, Cajual, Nite Life, Undaground Therapy, Defected, Djax Up Beats, Peacefrog, moody and Dust Traxx.

His solo productions are as popular if not more than his collaborative work with artists like Gant Garrard and others.

In 1994 Paul worked with Dodge & IG Culture to great underground acclaim.

Paul was one of surf music's principal founders and pioneers, starting with "Mr. Moto", a hit for his band the Belairs in 1962, the earliest recording to be tagged "surf music".

Paul currently plays with Gill Orr (of the Chantays) as the Duo-tones and also has been a member of the Surfaris since 1989.
