Formed in California, United States in 2008 by renowned guitarist Paul Gilbert and relatively unknown singer/guitarist Freddie Nelson. Paul Gilbert & Freddie Nelson wrote, recorded and performed heavy metal influenced pop rock. Their music unites pop song structures with Gilbert's virtuosic guitar solos in a light-hearted, friendly setting. Nelson takes the majority of the vocal duties and has been compared to Freddie Mercury.

To date, the duo have released one album, United States, which saw a succesful release in Japan in late 2008 before a worldwide release in early 2009.
