Biography
Hailed from Baltimore, Maryland, where they formed in 1968. Both albums are full of guitar-oriented heavy rock gems and are recommended. The first is full of songs like Love Me, Death Comes Slowly and Keep On Livin, full of driving guitar and strong vocals. Comfort Of You features some nice jazzy piano playing but perhaps the finest track is the finale, Revenge, which features some superb Neil Young-influenced guitar playing. The second album is more of the same but slightly more aggressive vocally, particularly on the title track, and with more guitar exhibitionism on Hungry Man. Dream is a pleasant instrumental and Whisky and Gin People pays its dues to the blues. The Games provides a stunning finale much in the style of John Cipollina's Copperhead, but the first album seems marginally the better of the two.
