Optik is used by various people. 1) UK trance producer Toby Shew, producer of electronic music under two well-known aliases, Optik, in the trance genre, and Toby Shark, for his more progressive work, and 2) an alias of Giorgio Canepa, a house producer.

Under the Optik alias, his releases include Claim, Object, Restore, Ode, Cruiser and Object. As Toby Shark: Prolight.

Over the last few years, Optik’s releases have been receiving support from many prominent Djs, including Armin van Buuren, Ronski Speed, Aly & Fila, Above & Beyond, among others.

His music can be found on the Bonzai, Camouflage label; his tracks are available for purchase at all good digital music suppliers.

Optik has an excellent, well-maintained website at http://www.optik.org.uk/, where information on a wide variety of topics can be found. He maintains a blog on trance production, as well as info on his available podcasts, mixing, videos and a calendar on what’s happening, where and when.
