Opal Butterfly were an English late 1960s band from London. The band featured Simon King (drums) and, for a short time, Lemmy, who met again in Hawkwind. Further members were Robert C. "Robbie" Milne (guitar), Allan Love (vocals), Richard Bardey (bass) and Tommy Doherty (guitar). they released only three singles between 1968 and 1969 . They appeared in the film "Groupie Girl" (1970) by Derek Ford as "Sweaty Betty "
