“OMAYA” is a duo formed in 2001 by artists Maya Overbye Herulf and Tzvetin Todorov. During their first shared lecture at the Rotterdam Conservatory (The Netherlands) they discover that they have the same ideas in music. Coming from abroad, Maya is from Denmark and Tzvetin from Bulgaria, in The Netherlands they move into a rich multicultural artist environment. This inspires the "OMAYA-idea", a fusion of diverse music styles and cultural impressions. Their first album is a soundscape of ethnic influences which contribute to the relaxed, loungy atmosphere that creates the OMAYA experience.
