Nunc Stans records on the DataObscura label (www.dataobscura.com) and is a project of Anthony Paul Kerby (Canada), who also records as The Circular Ruins and Lammergeyer. In mood and structure the music is subtle flowing and emotive ambient electronica reminiscent of artists like Jeff Greinke, Biosphere, but with a more grainy drone-based sound. Since the third release, Timeless, the music of Nunc Stans has focussed on a more far-northern, glacial landscape feel of expansiveness, grandeur, and intimate solitude.
